Goldman & Fine Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Panel Beater, MET Stripper Fitter and a Workshop Controller in the Weybridge area.

PANEL BEATER (Ref: VP3717) : 33,000 – 39,000

Applicants must:

  • Be an experienced Panel Beater with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a bodyshop /accident repair centre
  • Have your own tools
  • Work to an extremely high standard
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work on a variety of cars
  • Be able to do most aspects of panel beating
  • Have a valid driving license, max 6 points.

ATA qualification will be an advantage but not essential if you have the drive, skills and experience.

MET STRIPPER FITTER (Ref: VP3716): 33,000 – 39,000

  • Be a confident mechanical & electrical fitter / stripper fitter MET
  • Have your own tools
  • Be able to do four wheel alignment
  • Competent with ADAS and air conditioning systems
  • Have diagnostics experience
  • Have minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Have a valid UK driving licence for test
  • Have the ability to work on a wide range of makes and models of cars
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work to targets and deadlines.

WORKSHOP CONTROLLER (Ref: VP3600): 40,000 – 45,000

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Workshop Controller and act as deputy
  • Control of the day-to-day bodyshop operations
  • Provide timely, accurate customer estimates
  • Maintain company, manufacturer and insurance approvals to a high standard
  • Monitor the number of vehicles coming in for repair
  • Ensure jobs are fairly and correctly allocated to the bodyshop/workshop technicians, according to existing skill levels
  • Update staff on performance and technical/quality issues
  • Monitor workshop output, focusing on targets
  • Work closely with the Body/Workshop Manager and Office Manager to ensure work progresses efficiently through the workshop


The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years hands-on experience in a bodyshop, with good all-round knowledge of vehicle repair, staff and target management. You must be able to manage your time and workload efficiently, working to a high standard with a professional attitude. You will have excellent communication skills, with both colleagues and customers, able to explain issues at the correct level.

H&S will be at the forefront of your mind, including risk assessment, visitor safety, staff well-being and PPE for bodyshop staff. A clean UK driving license and an excellent level of English are necessary.
