Goldman & Fine Group has an excellent opportunity for a Health Care Assistant in the Dereham area, with excellent working conditions and future career prospects (4063) “Health care assistant” or “Nursing Home” or “NHS” or ” Private Health Care” or “Registered nurse”   ” Level 3 Nurse”

A successful Health Care Assistant will be responsible for carrying out the following duties (but not limited to):

  • To be an active member of a multi-professional team, supporting the rehabilitation of patients through the promotion of independence and planned programs of care
  • Treating all patients with respect and courtesy, maintaining dignity, and respecting individual needs and differences, both physical and culturally
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • To work effectively as a team member in providing and facilitating a high standard of nursing, social and rehabilitative support in the unit or in the community
  • Under the supervision of a qualified practitioner, participate in planned treatment activities taking into account the fluctuating needs of the patient
  • Ensuring patients’ physical environment is maintained. (Warmth, hygiene and comfort)
  • Up to date written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with professional standards
  • Assisting with the informal supervision of other assistants
  • Ensuring that clinical areas used for treatment are well maintained and comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe use of equipment and storage of materials
  • To exercise good personal time management, punctuality, and consistent reliable attendance
  • Administration of medication as directed
  • Support and care planning
  • Carrying out risk assessments when necessary
  • Confidentiality and adhere to GDPR
  • Adhering to all company policies

Applicants must have:

  • DBS certificate
  • Manual handling training
  • Fire safety training
  • Safeguarding adults training
  • Infection control training
  • COSH training
  • Food safety training
  • Mental capacity/ DoLS
  • First aid including BLS training
  • Dementia care training
  • Medicines training
